What is Tillamook Cheese you ask? It’s basically the northwest’s equivalent to Vermont’s Cabot Cheese. Now I’m not sure if Cabot has a factory tour but they should if they don’t! Michelle & I got to see the inner workings of this grand company!

First we visited the cows that were good enough to produce the dairy for all the yummy cheese.

She was a good cow for letting me hug her and everything. Now off to see the factory in action!

We saw all the worker bees packaging the cheese in all different sizes and varieties of cheeses. After we got bored of staring at people in hair nets, we moved on to the cheese sample area and shop. Of course we had to buy some cheese after seeing all it get made!

We didn’t get much since we wouldn’t be able to refrigerate it for long since this is a camping roadtrip! Tillamook was great fun and totally recommend you try the cheese if you ever come across in your travels!

Michelle & I first stop in Astoria Oregon at Astoria Column. It is a 125-foot tall column in commemoration of first American settlers west of the Rockies. It was a pretty poopy day weather wise so the column photo came out a little dark.

There are 14 different scenes on the column depicting important Astoria history. The column was on top of Coxcomb Hill giving it a wonderful view of the surrounding area…

when it’s not overcast. =) It was a great first stop but now on to bigger and better things!

I was fortunate enough to take a road trip with Michelle, from high school, a few weeks past. She flew out from Boston after recently graduating from BU with her Masters! (I’m so proud!) Any way, the road trip began in Seattle and continued down to San Francisco and back in a 9 day span. It was a lot of driving but it was well worth it and a great experience.

The first day began with accounting for the begin mileage (103,941):

Yes, I know my mileage is high but this is nothing compared to what it would be if I was back east.

I went to a Mariners game against the Boston Red Sox with the peeps I work with out here. It was a great time! The highlight was the guy that decided to run across the outfield with no shirt on.

He jumped the wall from the left field foul pole. Here’s an action shot before he got caught:

Security did a great job at tackling him before he got the the right field foul line:

I was impressed with this guy, even if the security guards were upset they had to actually move. Oh and the Red Sox won in the 12th inning. Nice work boys!

After flying back from LA on Thursday afternoon I had to catch a red eye back east for Diane & Seth’s wedding in MA. While it was a lot of traveling it was well worth it to experience the ESPYS and see them tie the knot!

The wedding was amazing, the bride was beautiful and the groom looked goofy as usual. It was great to see and hangout with all the Stoughton girls at once since I was home for such a short time. I wish I could have stayed longer but I needed to get back to Seattle to start my next adventure!

Congrats Di & Seth!! I couldn’t be happier for the two of you!

Jen and I had some sweet seats for the show! I could see Justin Timberlake’s facial expressions and not from the large screens. He preformed a great show, it was hilarious as I’m sure you’ve already seen by now.

After the show we headed off to ESPN’s large after party. I didn’t take any good photos since it was mainly b-list celebs stuffing their face but it was still cool! They had a few In-n-Out food trucks there but by the time we got to the front of the line they were out of burgers!!

It was tough to avoid the paparazzi while walking down the red carpet but then again why would I want to! Marc snapped this photo of myself, Loren, Lisa & Jen on the red carpet!! It was amazing time and I hadn’t even made it to the show yet! Have I said what a great time I had!

I was very fortunate to be able to attend the ESPYS down in LA this year! We got to walk the red carpet, mind you it was the common’s people red carpet but still it was darn cool! I snapped this photo of Kevin Garnett and his wife walking down the red carpet!!!

After Casey’s baby shower we headed back to her parents house where the dogs were in full party time. Will’s dog on the right loves to play with Casey’s parent’s dog Grif. They are best friends, probably a little closer then most male dogs should be, if you know what I mean.

Casey had a beautiful baby shower at her friend Lorretta’s house in Oroville. We played some fun games and I won some yummy candy that I brought back to the men after the shower.

Casey & Will got a lot of great presents from friends and family. I was all caught up in her opening my present so I totally forgot to snap some action shots. The above one is one of the best I got since I have no flash most came out blurry.
