As I worked today I noticed little drops of water fall randomly but saw no sign of rain on the pavement. I chalked it up to crazy Seattle weather but then this platform came into my window!!!

It was the window washers dropping those water drops! My window was in some desperate need of some cleaning so I was pumped to see them!

As the guy washed the first 1/2 of my window I prepared a post-it that read “thank you =)” for his second pass through. I slapped it up there when he was working on my other window. When he came back to my first window he saw the post-it and a huge smile came across his face and he lipped back “no thank you”. It’s always nice to appreciate those that risk their lives hanging off the side of buildings to give you a clean view of the city! Plus, I washed windows for 2 summers straight during high school and I know how monotonous it can be.

All clean!

It’s cherry season in Cali! There was this great little stand on the side of the road that we scored the best cherries from! Casey and I got a huge bag that we pretty much polished off in 2 days. So yummy!

On our way home from the park we think we spotted a bald eagles nest(mid-left to the center of the photo). It’s really tough to see in this photo but there’s a tall dead tree stump with a huge nest ontop. We could see little white heads moving around in it but since my iphone doesn’t have a zoom you’ll have to take my word for it.

On our way out of the park I noticed this really cool carved bear at a local gas station. They love their grizzle bears in this town since this was one of 5 fake bears that I saw. Oh and did you see those gas prices! Ouch baby!

The pine cones are huge out in Cali! We picked up the ones that had sticks so they were easier to pretend to eat!

Towards the end of our hike through the Big Tree Park we came across a tree that was burned in the middle, making it very easy to walk through, if not ride a bike through. Will jumped under it pretending there was a cougar just on the other side. I love taking fun photos!

Then he tried to scale it but didn’t get too far since the opening was so large. Great photos Will!

While exploring the burned out tree we found a very big whole that looked like it could contain a little critter. Casey and I were too scared to put our arm down it but Will was up for the job! While his arm was down there he started crying for help as if something was eating his arm off. Luckily Casey came to the rescue to pull his arm out! What a great wife she is! =)

Next to the large tree stump was a burned one that was just as large. Will was doing a little dance in front of it and I was lucky enough to catch him in action.

When I went in for a closer I noticed this medium sized animal coming at me. I picked up a stick immediately to scare it of, which worked of course! Ok, there really was no animal but it makes for a better photo. =)

While in Cali we went to the Big Tree Forest to check this huge tree that was cut down. Above is a diagram that will help you get an idea of how massive this tree was, it’s really too bad the cut it down back in the late 1800s.

This is Casey & Will hanging out in front of the knocked over party.

And here’s Will & I trying to have a funny pose which I think was successful.

Will and Casey recently found out that they’re expecting a little girl! I’m already an Aunt to little Katie (almost age 1) so I’ll be a pro by the time this new girl arrives! =)
Julie passed along some of Katie’s clothes so Casey could start stock piling the new baby’s closet. Oh I can’t wait for her to arrive! (3 months & counting)
